Dave Starling : Handling Game Pressure With a Plan
CoachTube Dave Starling : Handling Game Pressure With a Plan $19.99
Handling Game Pressure With a Plan Handling the pressure of the game and especially in big moments are often too much for players. The bright lights, expectations, criticism, nervousness and silence are enough to make a player fall to his knees. Players try to reduce the pressure by remembering to embrace the moment, breathe, stay focused on the process and to downsize the importance. They have to remember that theyll have multiple opportunities. It's important to let go of winning and not to over do it. Not every story needs a hero. One of the best ways to handle pressure is to push yourself in training and test your limits. Facing game pressures can be handled with a plan. By practicing with the same force and intensity as you would in a game will create less pressure in the moment, because youve done it time and time again. It's just a matter of execution. It's important to have self motivation and encouragement in those moments. If youre mentally defeated, the job is already done. In this course, Dave Starling shares how he approaches the pressure that players often face and the best way to tackle it head on. Spinning it to work to their advantage and making the best of the moment. Everything you need to put the pressure behind you and win the game is right here. Simply click the Book This Course button at the top right of this page, place your order, and youll immediately be logged into the training with full access. Learn how to handle the pressures of the game with an effective plan.1 Handling Game Pressure With a Plan 36:56Dave Starling is entering his 30th season as a Head Baseball Coach. He is currently the Head Baseball Coach at New Albany High School and the 2021 Division I Ohio High School Athletic Association State Champion Coach. Previously, Dave spent 27 seasons at his Alma Mater Reynoldsburg High School where he holds the school record with 21 Wins as a pitcher/player and posted 398 wins with one regional title (2004), two district titles (2003, 2004) and five OCC titles (1988, 1993, 2003, 2004 and 2005) as Coach. He was an OCC Coach of the Year five times and district Coach of the Year three times. Starling previously worked part-time with the Columbus Clippers as well as co-director of the state baseball tournament and the Big 10 Tournament at Huntington Park. He also has coached one Major League Baseball player (catcher and multiple All-Star Mike Matheny) as well as sent over 50 players to college baseball and had 14 former players drafted. Starling has also spent the last few years as a head coach in the Columbus Giants organization and has also spent time with the Batter's Box Bombers.

Infield Play With Drills - Coach Ed Servais
CoachTube Infield Play With Drills - Coach Ed Servais $19.99
Infield Play With Drills Infield positions are different from the rest because it requires you to be quick on your feet, and be able to adjust your body in seconds. Simply put one of the more defensive positions on the field. Infield players try to prevent runs from being scored by catching fly balls, tagging runners or throwing the ball to base before the opposing player gets there. That means your best infielders should be second base, shortstop and center field. Great infield players have the ability to create double plays or even triple plays. There are many drills that can help improve the infield play. Drills like the rolled ground ball seem quite simple. Players assume the position with a wide base stance, butt down and hands out. First balls are hit soft and easy enough to master, as the drill progresses you hit the ball harder and more unorthodox. Making it harder on the infidel player to make the play. After much repetition, the players' confidence and ability to make big plays will grow. Catching drills and backhand drills are also great for practice and pre-game exercises. In this course, Ed Servais talks about the importance of having good defense in the infield. He breaks down drills he likes to incorporate into his practices to help improve his players defense. Everything from positioning to the correct glove is covered by Ed Servais. Simply click the Book This Course button at the top right of this page, place your order, and youll immediately be logged into the training with full access. Known as a coach who emphasizes team defense, Servais teams have consistently been among the nations best in fielding percentage. In his first season (2004) the Bluejays .982 fielding percentage led the country. Creighton has repeated that impressive feat two additional times (2009 & 2014). During Servais 16 seasons at Creighton, the Bluejays have finished in the NCAAs top-10 in fielding 11 times (including fifth in 2019). Since the Servais era began, Creighton has committed the fewest errors in the nation (758), while also leading the country with a .977 fielding percentage. Servais reputation for teaching was rewarded during the summer of 2013, Servais served as one of three assistants for USA Baseballs Collegiate National Team. Servais was responsible for team defense and was the first base coach. Servais helped Team USA post a 7-3 record, including a five-game sweep of the Cuban National Team.Servais ability to prepare his squad to play beyond the college ranks led to 37 Bluejays being taken over the last 16 seasons in the MLB Draft. Six Creighton players were selected in the draft following the 2019 season, tying the six Bluejays taken from the 1991 team.
